MANUEL WIMMER

After working in upscale hotels and renowned restaurants in the Berchtesgadener and Traunsteiner Land region, our executive chef most recently left his culinary mark as executive chef at the Predigtstuhl mountain restaurant. In 2017, he crowned his training with further education to become a master chef and has been the creative soul at Restaurant Karner since October 2019.

For our executive chef, being a chef has always been more than just a career choice – it has been a passion that has always accompanied him. He leads his team in the kitchen with joy and dedication, where he is free to unleash his creativity. For him, there are no limits when it comes to creating exceptional dishes that guests will remember long after their visit.

MICHAEL PAULUS

Michael Paulus, our talented sous-chef, discovered his passion for cooking while still at school. This enthusiasm led him into professional catering, where he completed his training at the renowned Hotel Moosleitner in Freilassing and the Predigtstuhl mountain restaurant. In 2023, he crowned his career with further training to become a master chef.

Michael Paulus has been bringing his skills and love of his craft to Landgasthof Karner since June 2020. His passion lies in perfection – every detail counts for him in order to offer guests a top-class culinary experience. For him, the secret of exceptional dishes is a love of the product. He knows how to emphasise the quality and flavour of the ingredients to create unforgettable dishes.

HELMUTH DEMMEL

Helmut Demmel, our dedicated sous chef, brings an impressive variety of experience to the kitchen at Restaurant Karner. His career began with an apprenticeship at Schuhbecks Partyservice, followed by positions at Restaurant Herrenhaus, FC Bayern Campus and the Huberwirt in Pleiskirchen. He delighted our guests from 2021 to 2023 before returning to our team at the beginning of 2024.

For Helmut, cooking is not just a profession, but a passion that has fascinated him since childhood. He loves working with fresh produce and making the most of the variety of ingredients. He draws inspiration from various sources – be it Instagram, cookery books or visits to other restaurants. His greatest joy? The happy guest at the end of the day.

MILAN MASOVIC

Milan Masovic, our Chef de Partie, loves the creative freedom that cooking offers him. With a modern approach and the constant motivation to develop himself further, he brings fresh ideas to our kitchen. For him, it’s the perfect combination of teamwork and personal development.

Milan draws his greatest inspiration from nature – and you can feel this in every one of his dishes. With passion and dedication, he transforms natural ingredients into culinary experiences that delight our guests.

NORBERT FARAGO

Norbert Farago is our chef de partie who lives and breathes variety in the kitchen. For him, there is nothing more exciting than working with countless ingredients and combining them in creative ways. Every day he discovers new possibilities and learns new things – that’s what drives him.

Norbert particularly appreciates the teamwork in our kitchen team. He enjoys the daily challenge of continuously improving and making each dish a little better than the last. He draws his inspiration from the people around him and from the shared pursuit of perfection.

With this attitude, Norbert enriches the cuisine at Landgasthof Karner and ensures that our guests enjoy culinary experiences characterised by passion and innovation.

RESTAURANT MANAGER

ANDREAS SCHWARZKOPF

Andreas Schwarzkopf, our restaurant manager, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Landgasthof Karner. Before joining us, he worked for eight years as a bar manager at the renowned Yachthotel Chiemsee, where he looked after a large number of discerning guests. His main target groups ranged from private guests and wedding couples to large corporate events and conferences.

With this broad expertise, Andreas Schwarzkopf ensures that every visit to Landgasthof Karner is an unforgettable experience. His passion for first-class service and his instinct for the needs of our guests make him an exceptional host.
